This dataset shows use of Medi-Cal dental benefits by Medi-Cal beneficiaries displayed by county, ethnicity, age groups and calendar year (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017). This information consists of beneficiaries receiving dental services in the following categories: annual dental visit (Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes D0100-D9999), preventive services (CDT codes D1000-D1999), dental exams (CDT codes D0120, D0145, and D0150), restorative services (CDT codes D2000-D2999), sealants (CDT code D1351) dental treatment (CDT codes D2000-D9999), and caries or fluoride treatment (CDT codes D2000-D2999 or D1203-D1208, D1310, D1330, D1351). The Medi-Cal beneficiaries included in this dataset include those continuously enrolled in either Dental Managed Care or the Dental Fee-for-Service delivery system for at least 3 months.
